About this project
Following the award of the tender to produce the wayfinding strategy, we were delighted to be awarded the implementation too.
Having produced the wayfinding family and map concepts we were well placed to continue to work on this enjoyable project with the invaluable input from the Council staff. The design studio worked closely with the key stakeholders to produce the master Sleaford map then convert it to heads-up for the monoliths, along with the directional signage.
The installation team worked wonders on site too, removing some of the existing signage and creating concrete footings for the monoliths to be mounted. They reinstated the paving after installation and as the photographs show it was all a very professional job!
The monoliths stand out yet blend in, which was an important consideration as they had to look ‘right’ from the outset. The ‘2 minute walk’ outines and the nuggets of interpretation work together well to provide an attractive and fitting wayfinding project for this Lincolnshire market town.
There are further phases of work happening in Sleaford and we are looking forward to continuing on this project.
