About This Project
Quietly tucked away in Northamptonshire, hidden from the nearby M1, the Courteenhall Estate has been in the ownership of the same family for over 300 years. The manor house is still the family home as well as an exclusive venue for events, and there are a number of residential properties to let around the estate.
Providing signage for this progressive organisation presented a challenge with the multi-faceted nature of the estate, so a dual style was adopted. The properties on the estate itself have beautifully engraved wall-mounted timber plaques with the wayfinding as timber ladder signs.
For the Business and Farm units, colour-matched aluminium panels on metal posts were used to give a more appropriate look. The East Lodge Business directory sign was carefully designed to be easily updatable as tenants change, and the overall look of the whole scheme is really effective and suits the environment very well.
